Star Wars Unseen Scenes - Episode 5 by Robert-Shane Star Wars Unseen Scenes - Episode 5 by Robert-Shane
Most of my artwork I post here is done in 'portrait' style because I'd really like to draw a Star Wars comic cover one day! But I thought I should try to demonstrate that I can also create 'landscape' scenes too - so I've put together a series of three pictures depicting scenes that 'sort of' happened in the original Star Wars trilogy.

There was a scene filmed for Empire Strikes Back that featured a Wampa that R2-D2 and C-3PO locked in a room at Echo Base being discovered by Snowtroopers... that scene wasn't completed because of the limitations of the animatics for the Wampa. So what I've done here is imagined how - if they'd been able to produce a better looking Wampa - they could have used it to (temporarily) terrorize the advancing Imperials!

This is an original depiction of characters created by George Lucas. It was drawn in Photoshop using a Wacom pad. Disney owns the copyright to Star Wars and its characters and this image is fan art that isn't for sale or reproduction.

Gorgeous, I have a few unseen scenes and original SW characters myself, though waay more in the underground comic/toon style, nothing like this.  I can't wait to dig further into your gallery.  Thank you for sharing with us! :)

I do t know why but because the observation ports on the atst are closed I just imagine the pilot saying "don't look at it! If you look at it it can sense your fear!"

I've heard of that scene, 3PO takes a sticker off one door and with the Wampas in it and the Snowtroopers enter by mistake and hilarity(though not from the Snowtroopers point of view most likely) ensues.

I always wondered what a scene like this be like because when I found out there was meant to be a Wampa locked up in Echo Base, even the games suggested something similar, and since then it got me thinking how the Storm Troopers would deal with it, I know they would shoot it and killing it in the end but how many of them would it take? Or would they call on Boba Fett to deal with it? Because if memory serves those Wampas are like the Polar Bears of Star Wars, tough and aggressive, used to scare the hell out of me when I was little XD.

And this scene is captured perfectly, it would make any Star Wars fan fall in love with the scene.

I reckon that the look on the Wampa's face is because he got some trooper armour stuck between his teeth ;) Fantastic work, as always :)

Wasn't there a wampa locked in some room in Shadows of the Empire?

an interesting idea.  I wonder how well it would have worked?  many of the things that came in first was the walkers, only time the footsolders were on the ground was going into the base.  And Vader was there.  He would lop its head off easy.

As cool as it might've been, I think another reason the scene was removed was because it may have been a little too violent for the kids. When the I read about the scene it never said what happens after the Snowtroopers found it. Either it would've just cut there and left things ambiguous, or something more gruesome might've happened. A small part of me thought it would've  ended with Darth Vader coming in and defeating it himself.

one question: while I do realize that it's the "unseen" aspect, shouldn't the AT-ST's visors be opened? o_O

awesome work as always, the result is great, very profesional  :D.

The poor Wampa D:.  The AT-ST is enough to take him down.
