Description
This picture is a collaboration with - and depicts another meeting between one of his 'Lil Dudes' and a 'real' character from their fantasy universe.
We've already teamed up to bring Yoda face to face with Lil Dude Darth Vader: fav.me/d5q4tke - but for this one we've taken on the Marvel universe.
There isn't intended to be any 'reason' behind this image - but we agreed on the concept of showing Loki gloating over Thor after having cast a spell that turned him into the Lil Dude version.
Erick drew the line work for Thor and did a fantastic job in drawing the outrage on his face - as if he's saying "Loki, thou hast gone too far this time brother". While Loki's telling him "Think yourself lucky that I didn't turn you into a frog!"
I drew Loki and colored the whole picture. I wanted to depict Loki in his movie costume to emphasize the contrast of his look against the cartoon version of Thor. It was a real challenge for me to get Loki right as I hadn't realised how little photo reference there is available of his movie costume. In the end, I relied on images of the 'Hot Toys' model to see the details - and then imagined how it might look with him kneeling in front of Thor. I also couldn't find any 'side-on' photo reference of Tom Hiddleston - so I drew a slightly caricature likeness. I also added a background to give a hint that this is taking place in some part of Asgard.
I used Sketchup to create the framework for the wall in the background - the drawing of Loki and the coloring was done in Photoshop using a Wacom pad.
This is fan art of copyright characters owned by Marvel / Disney.

Loki drew this, or had it drawn.
